You can measure the rpm easily with Testo 465 without contact the object. Simply attach a reflector to the object to be measured and then point the visible, red light beam at the reflector and measure.

Testo 470, the ideal combination of optical and mechanical rpm measurement. An optical measurement becomes a mechanical measurement by simply attaching an adapter for probe tip or surface speed disc. With the testo 471, the lengths and speeds of threads, wires or (glass) fibres can be measured.
