Thermal imagers - Testo 875i Thermal imager with 160 x 120 pixels and Thermal Sensitivity of 80mK. Thermal imagers measure the infrared energy emitted by surfaces remotely. The Infrared energy emitted by the object is focused on to an infrared detector. By the laws of Physics the Infrared energy emitted by the object is related to the temperature of the object. The Thermal Imager converts this infrared energy into a heat picture of the object which in thermal Imaging Terminology is known as a Thermogram. Different temperatures in the Thermogram are represented by different colors. The distribution of temperature on the object gives the user vital information on the operating condition of the machine which helps the user take corrective actions.
Thermography has been used for many years by preventive maintenance engineers to inspect motors, circuit boards, switchgear, electrical connectors, bearings and pumps etc.
The thermal imager testo 875i in ergonomic grip design, with 160 x 120 pixels and a thermal sensitivity of 80mK offers Excellent Image quality.

Testo 875i-1
- Detector size 160 x 120 pixels: With 19,200 temperature measurement points, the measurement objects are detected in very good image quality, clearly and precisely.
- SuperResolution technology to 320 x 240 pixels: SuperResolution technology improves the image quality by one class, i.e. the resolution of the thermal images is four times higher.
- Temperature range of -20 °C to +280 °C.
- Thermal sensitivity < 80 mK: Thanks to an excellent temperature resolution of < 80 mK, even small temperature differences are visible.
- Automatic Hot/Cold Spot Recognition: Critical temperature stati are directly displayed using the automatic Hot-Cold-Spot recognition.

Testo's Super resolution Technology, the use of recognized methods and algorithms considerably increases the resolution of thermal images: with four times as many readings and effectively double the resolution, each thermal image is considerably more detailed and this means greater reliability when taking thermo graphic measurements.
With Super Resolution, an image with 160 x 120 pixels turns into an image with 320 x 240 pixels or an image with 320 x 240 pixels turns into an image with 640 x 480 pixels.

Recognize more temperature measurement values on tiny structures and when recording from a great distance
In addition to this, the improvement in the quality of the recorded SuperResolution infrared image means in practice that the so-called "smallest measurable object" becomes considerably smaller, at the same distance between the thermographer and the measurement object: this allows even the tiniest structures of up to 0.07 mm to be recorded thermally (with testo 890), or more measurement values and details to be seen from a great distance. Important: Super Resolution technology records real temperature measurement values, and does not extrapolate artificial intermediate values!

In all current thermal imagers, Testo offers the possibility of recording high-resolution thermographic images using the patent-pending Super Resolution technology.
